66th AGMS/DEÄV Conference Chester 3 Sep to 6 Sep 2026

The AGMS/DEAV would like to invite you to the 66th annual conference and scientific meeting which will be held in Chester from 3-6 Sep 2026 at the Queen of Chester Hotel.

The conference includes a full day scientific and medical meeting on Saturday 5 September with the option to attend the annual dinner the same evening. These events can be booked as individual items.

Delegates, and their partners also have the option of attending the whole conference which will encompass local history, cultural, social and dining events on the evening of Thursday 3rd September, all day Friday 4th September, and also Saturday 5th September for non-medic partners. (The exact details and timings will be circulated in advance of the conference).

Delegates do not need to speak German. All that is needed is an enthusiasm to learn and exchange knowledge and ideas with others, in a friendly and collaborative environment.

Medical lectures will be delivered in either German or English according to the choice of the speaker, whilst visual material will be presented in the other language. Real time translation apps can of course be used if needed.

First time conference attendees will get 12 months AGMS/DEAV membership free, in line with all new members.

We ask delegates to arrange their own accommodation either at The Queen at Chester Hotel, or at one of the many accommodation options available nearby.

The Queen at Chester Hotel is situated directly opposite the train station and as such is readily accessible from Manchester and Liverpool airports and from other UK locations by train.

Parking 

The hotel doesn’t have its own carpark but there is a public carpark directly behind the hotel via the archway that says ‘Queen Hotel Mews’ post code CH1 3AH.

£13 (per 24 hours) Mon-Fri and £15 per 24 hours Sat and Sun.

Payment for parking is via the machine in the car park, the Your Parking Space app, or by scanning the QR code at reception and paying by phone.
